Poster about Dolle Mina

Made by: Nina

What? Dolle Mina was the name of several feminist action groups in Belgium and the Netherlands in the 1970s. They were named after the socialist feminist Wilhelmina Drucker.

This poster was made for a zine by Melanie Maddison to celebrate inspirational women and collectives. The poster gives some background information about the Dolle Mina groups and shows one of its most famous actions: “Baas in eigen buik” which means “Boss of my own belly” in Dutch and refers to abortion rights struggles.
